Baby Ava {Adelaide newborn photographer}

Today I had little miss Ava in the studio, last weekend Ava was here for her session but just didn’t want a bar of having a sleep so we thought we would try again today and I’m so glad we did as she slept like a dream with just a few resettling moments.

Isn’t she such a sweet little girl!

Danielle, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I will be in touch soon!

This was definitely a long awaited arrival having had this session booked in for quite a few months now and Holly played for us nicely and slept the entire session (apart from waking briefly towards the end) she was such a little champ…

Congratulations Charlene, Mark and big sister Emily, it was a pleasure to meet you all today and your new little addition!

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I will be in touch soon once your gallery is ready!

Mmm cake! {Adelaide baby photographer}

So most people aren’t sure what a cake smash session involves…so let me put it as clear as I can…

It involves…One cute baby (turning 1..or 2 of course) , some balloons, a funky party hat and the most delicious birthday cake….and then just let baby go wild!

There is plenty of mess and plenty of giggles but it also captures that very special milestone of the 1st birthday.

If you are interested in booking a cake smash session you can email me at ssmoke@adam.com.au for further information..

Laura, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek and I will be in touch soon!

Sleepy Smiles and Teeny Toes { Adelaide Photographer}

As was mentioned Hayley from Happy Castings and I were devising a package that would both offer a feet/hand sculpture package while also including a photography package at the one time. Wouldn’t it be great if on the same day you could have your newborn portraits done while also getting bub’s hand and feet moulds done at the same time? I know how hectic life can be with a new baby and  near impossible to always get done what you had originally planned so Hayley and I decided this would be a fantastic package for those that don’t have the time to too and fro from place to place…

Anyway here is a photo of what the hand and feet mould package will look like but you will also have the choice of about 26 matt board colours and 20 frames to choose from!

Here is what the combined session will include:

Sleepy smiles and Teeny toes

$2400 (valued at over $3420)

Session fee is $150 (with $50 deposit of the $150 session fee going to Happy Castings)
A newborn session held in the first 2 weeks after birth
5 5×7 prints
10 page gallery album
1 16×24 canvas print

Hand and feet mold completed by Hayley from Happy Castings

Hand and feet part of the package includes:

A home visit in the first month of you baby being born
Moulds of your baby’s hands and feet
A frame with the sculptures in it and 1 name plaque
Choice of about 26 matt board colours and 20 frames
an 11 x 21 inch frame with a cutout for your 5 x 7 inch photo

If you would like to book this package or would like further information about it, please email me at ssmoke@adam.com.au

sweet boys {Adelaide child photographer}

Today I had Hayley and her two boys in for a session – Hayley is the owner of the fabulous Happy Castings which are the most stunning hand and feet molds in frames that I have ever seen. Okay business talk aside Hayley has the two most adorable boys B and K and with such gorgeous grins it wasn’t hard to go photo mad on them!

Thanks so much for today Hayley, it was lovely to meet your two boys and I look forward to our partnership in the future!

I will be in touch soon with the details of your gallery!

Codey – ACOCP session {Adelaide photographer}

Yesterday I had the honor of doing an Australian Community of Child Photographers session with Codey who has Primary Pulmonary Hypertension. Codey did extremely well during the session and he has the most gorgeous smile I’ve seen. He is  a mightily brave little soldier and so is his mum, Kim! I could just see the care and love of this little family as they helped Codey during the session, it’s times like these that you realise how special a loving family is…

Thank you for sharing your family with me Kim and I wish you and your little man all the best, he is truly a little star!

SCP on Beyond The Baby {Adelaide Photographer}

Well I’m very excited to share that I have my very first article on the web! Beyond The Baby approached me a month or two ago and asked if I would be interested in writing an article for them. Although I used to write storiess as a kid/teen (wrote a book 110 pages long actually) I have never done a non fiction article before but lucky for me my passion for photography won out and I was stoked to be able to share some of what I have learnt over the past few years.

Anyway you can find the link to the article HERE (just bare in mind that the image is a teeny bit distorted and doesn’t actually look like that IRL)
