Today I had little miss Ava in the studio, last weekend Ava was here for her session but just didn’t want a bar of having a sleep so we thought we would try again today and I’m so glad we did as she slept like a dream with just a few resettling moments.

This was definitely a long awaited arrival having had this session booked in for quite a few months now and Holly played for us nicely and slept the entire session (apart from waking briefly towards the end) she was such a little champ…

Today I had the absolute pleasure of photographing 9 day old Chelsea and big sister 2 year old Jordan! How cute are these two! Although Chelsea took quite a bit to get her to sleep , we finally got there and the wait was certainly worth it!

Today I had the pleasure of photographing the reward from this baby bump! Congratulations once again to Debra, Ben and big brother Jordan on your new baby son/brother Max! What a delight he was for us today, after a slight struggle for sleep at the beginning, he then completely zonked and happily allowed us to pose him. What a sweetie he was and I can’t wait to see him grow and change as the months and years pass by!

Sometimes sessions don’t go to plan and as much as we would love all these itty bitty babies to sleep it doesn’t always work out like that. Alannah even though not wanting to sleep managed to sneak in about five minutes before she decided that was enough for the session…we still managed to capture some nice sleepy shots though!

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Amber, Daniel and their new baby girl Annabelle. You could just see how in love they were with their new addition to the family, they were such a gorgeous family to photograph. This is what I love about my job is capturing these very first moments of life…

Today I got to photograph the 5 day old miss Mackenzie and she was pretty much out like a light for the whole entire session, she was a dream to photograph and even gave me some gorgeous wind smiles too!

Today I had the sweetest little five day old, Baylee. He is the youngest that I have ever had in the studio but he definitely kept me on my toes. With only the shortest sleeping time where I snapped a quick few, he decided to stay awake or fought just on the edge of sleep but honestly he had the most gorgeous eyes so much so that it didn’t matter that we didn’t get a heap of curly sleepy shots, we got some beautiful shots of him awake instead! Isn’t he gorgeous!

Today’s second session was with 13 day old Charli. Honestly she was a dream to work with and barely opened an eye during the whole session with her…Oh if only every newborn session I had was as sleepy as this!

Yesterday I got to photograph the most adorable Luka! With the most gorgeous head of hair and a love of staying awake! I think we got about 2 minutes max sleep from him in the entire 3 hours for the session but even though most of the shots were of him awake we still got some beautiful images.
