My two boys and a new toy {Adelaide child photographer}

So I don’t really need an excuse to photograph my two boys and I could probably photograph them all day (if they let me!) but last week I became the owner of a new camera and I couldn’t resist taking it out for a bit of a little test run and so far so good, I’m loving it so far!

Anyway here is a few test shots of Tristan and Ethan who happily obliged me with the bribery of a strawberry milk drink afterward lol!

A bargain of chocolates {Adelaide child Photographer}

The one thing that is good when bargaining with your three year old is when you know that they wont turn down the bargain of sharing your birthday malteasers (and yes there are some leftover as it was a huge box given by my inlaws – they know my love of chocolate!) so Ethan happily lent me himself  for a mini shoot and boy did I get some poses lol! Oh and he loved the malteasers…gobbling them up extra quick!

So do you think he’s had enough now?

My big 3 year old! {Adelaide Photographer}

It’s hard to imagine that just three years ago that I had only just given birth to my now 3 year old Ethan! In three years he has grown from just a tiny newborn in very busy on the go 3 year old!

I thought I would share some photos of him when he was little (and before I really knew about photography lol) and then some of him from today with some more of him with his new trainset, he has quite a collection to play with now!

This was taken while still in hospital, isn’t he tiny and check out all that hair!

Tristan and Ethan adore each other although they do have their moments sometimes!

And just some of  master Ethan from this morning

Happy New Year from Sweet Chilli Philly Photography!

I just wanted to say a big happy new year to all my clients and blog readers! I couldn’t have done the last year without you and very much appreciate your support through 2009! I look forward to sharing with you all during 2010 and if you would ever like to comment even just to say you have stopped by then that would be great too, I always love to “see” who keeps up with my blog.

I have decided to not go in for the January photo a day challenge but will still be taking photos, I’m even considering doing a 52 week self portrait challenge instead where I take one photo of myself (eek!) each week for the whole year…lets see if I can last!

Anyway here is some shots of the boys that I took today and I think as they are similar shots of the boys I will get one each blown up big for the wall.

My little saxophone player {Adelaide Photographer}

Okay so my photo a day challenge didn’t quite work due to having a virus on the computer for the last week or so! Very frustrating and working almost 24×7 to get things up and working again. So I think the challenge will have to be put aside for now.

Regardless I caught this cute shot of Ethan yesterday with his toy saxophone and couldn’t resist his adorable proud grin as he looked up at me.

Two gorgeous boys {Adelaide Child Photographer}

I thought it was about time to get my boys together for a min photo shoot. To tell you the truth it did not got smoothly (I think it’s called photographer’s child syndrome) especially for my youngest Ethan who just did not want to sit still! Finally after much coaxing (bribing) I finally got a few shots that I was happy with. Tristan for once was happy to get a few shots on his own (usually he runs in the opposite direction!). So here is a few for you to see…along with an outtake.

Favourite Photo Friday {Adelaide Family Photographer}

There is on thing that I love about photography and looking at the photos afterwards and thats the eyes, the saying that the eyes are the mirrors to the soul comes to mind when I look at my subjects eyes and see the light sparkling in them. There is nothing better than seeing  you captured in their eyes as they watch you or their mind so far away makes you wonder what they are thinking.

The photo below is my favourite for this week and it really has been a firm favourite of mine (so much so that I have it framed and up on my wall). This was taken of Ethan when he was just under 12 months old and it it certainly a photograph that leaves me breathless everytime I look at it.

Also don’t forget that there is only two weeks left for your chance to win a free photography sitting or a $20 gift card so make sure to get your entry in by August 21st by 12 noon! Please see COMPETITION to see all the details.

My Beautiful boys { Adelaide Family Photographer }

I know I have said this a million times but I fall more in love with my kids every day! Yes they do have their moments when I want to pull my hair out but other times I just treasure the time we spend together. Their blue eyes mesmerise me and their laughter is heartwarming plus their eyelashes are to die for!

Family fun at the park {Adelaide child Photographer}

Yesterday Tristan left to go with his Nanna and Poppa to go caravanning so while he was off having fun one on one time with his grandparents Stephen and I decided to take Ethan for some one on one down at the park this morning. Was a great opportunity for Ethan to try out his new hand made (not by me) bright red hat and scarf. Doesn’t he just look warm and snuggly!
