Chelsea| 11 days old {Adelaide Newborn photographer}

Today I got to photograph a sweet 11 day old sweet baby girl Chelsea, although it was quite a long session, I enjoyed every moment of it! There is also a shot here of her proud big brother (although I think he was slightly more interested in the toys then in my camera ;) ) but we had fun either way and got some great images of Chelsea…I can never resist a teeny tiny bubba!

Blue Chilli Weddings {Adelaide Wedding Photographer}

On Saturday Natalie and I got to photograph (For our wedding business Blue Chilli Photography) my good friends (mates from as far back as highschool!) wedding! We had loads of fun and thankfully the weather (although extremely cold) didn’t rain on us and it was just a breathtaking ceremony. I was extremely honoured to share their special day with them but to also to capture the special memories of the day. Anyway here is a sneak peak and you can catch more images from both Natalie and myself at http://bluechilliphotography.com.au/blog/?p=105

7 days of sweetness {Adelaide newborn photographer}

Today I had the special pleasure of photographing a gorgeous baby girl, only 7 days new! Sadie slept like a champ for me and adored having cuddles with daddy since this is one of the first sesions from my father/baby casting call. You could just tell that Melissa and Damien adored their new baby girl. Such a beautiful family!

Melissa and Damien it was a pleasure to meet you both today and thankyou for allowing me to photograph your gorgeous baby girl!  I had a ball and very much enjoyed our session together. I’ll be in touch with you both soon with the details of your private gallery!

Two gorgeous boys {Adelaide Child Photographer}

I thought it was about time to get my boys together for a min photo shoot. To tell you the truth it did not got smoothly (I think it’s called photographer’s child syndrome) especially for my youngest Ethan who just did not want to sit still! Finally after much coaxing (bribing) I finally got a few shots that I was happy with. Tristan for once was happy to get a few shots on his own (usually he runs in the opposite direction!). So here is a few for you to see…along with an outtake.

Family photos are important {Adelaide Family Photographer}

I know family photos may not seem important to some but honestly I think they are one of the most important things and I’m not just saying that because I’m a photographer. I mean I absoutely loath getting in front of the camera ( I prefer to be the one to be behind the lens taking the photos) but one week it just may be too late to get those family photographs that you were forever saying…”yeah we can do that another day”.

Only just last December I had a photographer friend (and now business partner) do a family session for us and not just of myself, hubby and the boys but also included both my inlaws and the great grandparents as well. Only just two weeks later after we had those photos taken, the boys Great Grandmother passed away. We are so very thankful that we didn’t decide to put the photos aside for another day and got them done when we did otherwise we may not have had those family memories to put in our albums and walls.

So if you can get regular family photos done, no matter how much of an inconvience it may seem, it is an important keepsake for your children and your children’s children.  Don’t forgot memories fade but photographs won’t, they will keep that day frozen in time for you when it may be the most precious.

Also big news!

My new website has now been launched…yay!!!

A new toy to play with {Adelaide Photographer}

Today I picked up a “brand new” toy to play with! An awesome child sized rocking chair, I thought it would be perfect for photography sessions (for both studio and outdoor). At the moment it is a wood grain colour but am thinking it would look perfect in white and will be used for older babies and toddlers. So if you decide you would like a session with my brand new prop just let me know!

A special post for father’s day -part two {Adelaide Newborn Photographer}

A Little Girl Needs Daddy

A little girl needs Daddy
For many, many things:
Like holding her high off the ground
Where the sunlight sings!
Like being the deep music
That tells her all is right
When she awakens frantic with
The terrors of the night.

Like being the great mountain
That rises in her heart
And shows her how she might get home
When all else falls apart.

Like giving her the love
That is her sea and air,
So diving deep or soaring high
She’ll always find him there.
