It was definitely a hard choice to choose the winners as there was so many awesome entries!

Of course I can’t leave this post without posting my favourite photo of the week! Doesn’t Ethan look so little! Not so little anymore but he definitely has his very own little personality!

Guess what! The weekend is almost here so that must mean that it’s Friday! So here is my favourite photo for you today. I did this session a few months ago for a gorgeous family and their eldest little girl was a bit shy when I first met her but I like a challenge and so managed to bring her out of her shell. Once that was done she was full of giggles and laughter and I enjoyed seeing her shine in the viewfinder . Another aspect of my job that I love  is getting to know the families and it’s great to get down to the kids level and interact with them and see the world from their viewpoint. Gosh I love my job so much!

Yesterday Natalie (Sweet Blue Photography) and I did an engagement session with a gorgeous couple who won our opening launch competition for Blue Chilli Photography. We had perfect weather apart from it being a bit windy and we also had a fabulous location at the the Adelaide uni grounds. There is on thing that I love about photography and looking at the photos afterwards and thats the eyes, the saying that the eyes are the mirrors to the soul comes to mind when I look at my subjects eyes and see the light sparkling in them. There is nothing better than seeing  you captured in their eyes as they watch you or their mind so far away makes you wonder what they are thinking.

The photo below is my favourite for this week and it really has been a firm favourite of mine (so much so that I have it framed and up on my wall). This was taken of Ethan when he was just under 12 months old and it it certainly a photograph that leaves me breathless everytime I look at it.

I know I have said this a million times but I fall more in love with my kids every day! Yes they do have their moments when I want to pull my hair out but other times I just treasure the time we spend together. Their blue eyes mesmerise me and their laughter is heartwarming plus their eyelashes are to die for!

Anyway to finish off here is my favourite for today. One of my most favourite sessions is newborns and as challenging as it is I just love to photograph them, all that newness to the world and that baby smell is just divine!

Yesterday Tristan left to go with his Nanna and Poppa to go caravanning so while he was off having fun one on one time with his grandparents Stephen and I decided to take Ethan for some one on one down at the park this morning. Was a great opportunity for Ethan to try out his new hand made (not by me) bright red hat and scarf. Doesn’t he just look warm and snuggly!

As you will probably notice in the next few days/weeks, that there will be some changes made to the Sweet Chilli Philly Photography website. I am revising my packages and coming up with some brand new wall collections that I hope clients will come to love and enjoy as they proudly sit on your wall.

As you can see here is one of my gallery collections with ten more to choose from!

To help in making the choice easier I will be offering visual aids to help make the process easier for clients to visualise my products on their wall. I will also be offering custom framing as well as fine art canvas prints in these collections as well as extra specialised products that will be available for purchase including Coffee Table Books, Art mounts (prints mounted on foamcore) and other exciting products that you will be able to display on your walls/tables and to show your friends and family.
